Hi, I’m Sasha!

I’m a 27 year old Australian with the strongest travel-bug known on earth!

My Travel Story Up Until Now…

I started travelling in 2009 (pretty much as soon as I finished school) and I haven’t stopped since!
From a young age I knew that I wanted to travel the world, experience unique cultures and meet people from all walks of life. I had a goal to travel all seven continents of the world by the age of 30. I surpassed my own expectations and reached my seventh continent, Europe, at the age of 23. Accomplishing that goal was the best feeling in the world!

I travelled as a solo, female-traveller on a backpackers budget for the first four years of my adventures (which took me to Africa, Asia, North and South America and Antarctica). When I first started travelling in 2009 travel wasn’t very common, let alone travelling solo. Everyone thought I was crazy but it was the best decision I ever made. Those years made me the mature, versatile, independent, street-smart and adventurous person I am today. Everything I learnt and everything I am as a person was because of those years. Travelling really is the best education you can get in my opinion.
During a brief stint at home in Australia in 2013 (to save some more travel money, of course) I met a handsome English backpacker, fell in love and have been travelling together as a couple ever since. We have now travelled over 30 countries across six continents together (I still have Antarctica on him). For so long I was happily single, not wanting anyone to distract me from my travel goals. I feel so lucky that I found someone who wanted the same lifestyle as me.
I’m currently living in the UK…

What Sets Me Apart As A Blogger

In the last eight years I have travelled over 50 countries across all seven continents extensively, all on a budget.
I am an ordinary girl, I don’t have a big bank account or someone paying for my travels. I value authentic travel and my way of life is completely achievable by almost anyone (really, it is)!

Why I Created This Blog

I created this blog at the end of 2015 mainly as a way to document and remember all my stories and travels, as the older I get and the more I travel the more my memory fades.
I also love sharing my stories, travel tips and (mis)adventures with like-minded people around the world in hopes to inspire and encourage more people to travel and live an adventurous life too!
I try to remain honest and authentic in how I portray my travels, never wanting to sugar-coat the reality. I also never Photoshop or over-edit my photos. At the end of the day my photos are my memories and I want them to look as authentic and real as the way it looked on the day.
